I think my dad took the news that I was sponsored for school by a demon who's now dead well.

Probably far too well.

How so?

Well... Since the one who was going to be paying my tuition for the next two years is gone, he's sorta... Offered to pay for the rest, as long as I take care of any other expenses through jobs here.

In fact, he's insisted on it. I should have never mentioned to him that I found a part-time job here.

... At least you get to keep going to school?

Yes, I guess, but... Are they going to be safe? Part of the reason I agreed to go here was because they agreed to help protect my family while I was gone, from the monsters that are around.

... Have there been any other monsters?

There were monsters around when I was still at home. My dad doesn't say anything about them though, since he doesn't want me to worry about them.

Aah, I just hope Saichi's alright...

Every so often something would swoop by and try to take off someone's limbs.

... Hrm. I still get the feeling it might of been a con game.

It might have been, but... I'm not taking any chances about it. But I can't really do much since my dad is basically forcing me about this...
